WA94: The 2021 Chardonnay Peugh Vineyard, from vines originally planted in 1887 and grafted to Chardonnay in 1944, is pure and energetic. It has soft aromas of hazelnut, toasted meringue, iodine and Meyer lemon. The light-bodied palate balances tangy acidity with a creamy, mouth-coating texture and lemon-cream flavors, and it has a long, focused finish streaked with saline character.
