Located near the village of Valiano, between Montepulciano and Cortona, Avignonesi has long been a flagship producer in Tuscany. They practice organic, sustainable and biodynamic farming in all vineyards. Produced from an exceptional terroir, Cantaloro is the estate’s second wine made from Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Sangiovese. It is aged 18 months in stainless steel and oak and offers notes of ripe blackberry, thyme licorice and menthol on a medium-bodied frame.
JS93: A tight, focused red with currant and cherry character and hints of chocolate and sandalwood. Medium to full body, creamy and refined tannins that are long and flavorful. Very well done. From organic grapes. Drink or hold.
