And all of this is embedded in a fabulous ripeness. Just doesn’t want to stop at the incredibly intense finish where it keeps pumping out the stone fruit and slatey flavors. So much saltiness. Vegan. Drinkable now, but best from 2025.
VM93: The 2022 Riesling Longuicher Maximin Herrenberg Grosses Gewächs was harvested from vines planted in 1902 on a very stony parcel. The palate still has a touch of reduction, coming in with nutty creaminess and intense lemon zestiness. This is elegant and long, tapering to a creamy lemon finish, suiting this more powerful, bold style well. The finish has a texture almost like lemon pith, plus creaminess. (Dry)
