WA96+: Light, almost clear color. Open, expressive, simply gorgeous nose reminds us of fresh hay in an open field after a rainstorm. We get lots of honeydew and feral, sexy qualities. Superb on the palate with more grassy, Sauvignon Blanc character than any other vintage. In fact, the 2008 has a distinct style that sets it apart; a little like a New Zealand SB! It’s big, powerful, and very complex, with a sexy lanolin quality. The acidity is excellent. There’s a funky musk melon flavor in the long, consistent finish. Overall, a great wine and a great way to end the tasting!
JS92: A solid white, with apple pie, cream and lemon sorbert. Full and dense, with a racy finish. Tangy. Very tight still. Give it four to five years to open.
