VM91+: Medium red. Subtly smoky aromas of mocha, licorice and tobacco. Round, dense and suave, with firm minerality framing the ripe fruit flavors. Here the tannins are dusty and fine, arriving late. This seemed tougher in barrel a year ago; today there's nothing hard about this grand cru.
