One of our favorite traditional producers in Barolo, the Aurelio Settimo estate was founded in 1953 and remains family-run today. It boasts around 7 hectares of vines, mostly planted with Nebbiolo, including the celebrated Rocche dell'Annunziata cru. This is pure Nebbiolo. No oak. No funny business in the cellar. No waiting. It undergoes a shorter maceration on the skins than Barolo and has wonderful balance. It is delicate, with notes of violet, red fruit, and spices.
