Located in the Grand Cru village of Ay, Deutz Champagne was consumed by many heads of state and royalty in the 19th century. In 1983, the Rouzaud family, owners of Louis Roederer, purchased Deutz, and since then, the style continues to be understated and refined. The nose is fresh and direct, with aromas of cherries, blackberries, pomegranates, and red currants. Made of 90% Pinot Noir, fresh strawberries and raspberries pop on the palate.
