Tasted single blind at Southwold. I remember this Petit Village appearing a little overblown out of barrel but suggest that it may meld together with ageing. This seems to have been the case judging by this excellent showing under blind conditions. It certainly has a nice purity on the nose: black cherries, damson with a touch of violets. Nice definition and poise. Ripe, pure, quite modern in style with carefully judged oak and a lovely supple texture towards the finish. Very expressive and lithe. Charming. Drink 2011-2020+ Tasted January 2009. (Wine Advocate, 92 Points)
