Crafted only in the best vintages, ‘Stralisco’ is a selection of fruit from a .8ha parcel in the ‘Lucciole’ vineyard (750 feet above sea level, facing east). Regional soils are called spungone, a calcareous sandstone from the Pliocene geological period, abundant in chalky marine fossils. Hand-harvested. Fermented full-cluster on indigenous yeasts in upright, open-top wooden fermentation tanks, without temperature controls; grapes are crushed by foot. Aged for 24 months in 10HL cement tank.
