The small Familia Vicente Pearce winery focuses on high quality single-vineyard red wines that reflect their origin. Only around 400 cases per year are produced here. The source is the Azcuénaga Vineyard planted mostly in 1990 at 2,800 feet elevation in Maipú, Mendoza. Rich ripe blackberries and currants with lilac, sage, and cardamom. Very well balanced with medium acidity and bold tannins. Flavors of plum and with hazelnut, sage, and a touch of French oak inspired vanilla. Mouth coating and lingering with dark ripe fruits.
