Pure perfection in wine, the 2019 Las Posadas Vineyard comes from a site planted by David Abreu on Howell Mountain and is a blend of 58% Cabernet Sauvignon, 37% Cabernet Franc, 4% Petit Verdot, and the rest Malbec. This saturated purple-hued effort boasts knockout aromatics of ripe black cherries, jammy currants, black olives, and tobacco, with classy Howell Mountain bouquet garni and foresty notes in the background. Full-bodied, deep, concentrated, yet absolutely flawlessly balanced and pure, it has building tannins, a remarkable sense of freshness, and a great, great finish. It deserves 4-5 years of bottle age (it probably won't hit maturity for at least a decade) and will be a 30+ year wine. (Jeb Dunnuck, 100 Points)
