WS95: This is another excellent wine from Moccagatta. The 2021 Barbaresco Basarin reveals impeccable balance and intensity with lively tones of wild cherry, rose, blue flower and toasted spice. It ages in French oak for 18 months, and the wood is very nicely integrated in this vintage that delivers a natural sense of density and freshness. I recommend giving this wine a few more years of bottle age. Production is 5,000 bottles.
