Purchased in 2009 by the Poggiali family, owners of Tuscany's famed Felsina estate, La Berta was an early pioneer of high-quality winemaking in Romagna. With a focus on Sangiovese, as well as the area’s native whites – Trebbiano and Albana – they continue to produce some of the best wines in the region. The Sangiovese di Romagna is sourced from estate vineyards in Brisighella, which are farmed organically, and fermented and aged in stainless steel prior to bottling. It is packed with wild forest berries, star anise, and black licorice. Fresh and pure.
