A 50/50 blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, sourced from the tiny 0.9-hectare Les Crayons vineyard, situated on pure chalk. First bottled in 1982, it is named after the current generation's great-great-great-grandfather, Louis, who planted the vines. This cellar release was bottled in 1997, disgorged in 2023, and released in 2025. Zero dosage.
This straw-colored Champagne shows hazelnuts, quince, tobacco, pastries and salted caramel. It’s deliciously saline, sleek and intense on the palate, with tangy acidity and an intense yeasty, savory character. Bone dry. 50% pinot noir and 50% chardonnay. Zero dosage. Disgorged June 2024.
