Good dark red. Sexy high-pitched perfume of blackberry, licorice, spices and cannabis. Wonderfully silky and plush but light on its feet, conveying captivating sucrosité for a dry wine. At once utterly seamless and sharply delineated, this wine is impeccably balanced from the start. Finishes broad, full and weightless, with substantial but well-integrated tannins to ensure a slow evolution in bottle. This wine is more open-knit than most of the other young vintages here, no doubt at least partly due to the rather generous crop. The grape clusters kept growing after veraison, which Passalacqua described as unusual. (Vinous Media, 94 Points).
