VM93+: Dark, bright ruby-red. Very fresh, soil-driven aromas of blackberry, blueberry, coffee and spices. Powerful and quite backward, conveying an impression of medicinal reserve to its dark fruit and licorice flavors. These serious tannins will require another few years of patience, and yet the wine does not display quite the drought influence of the 2014.
