Hand-harvested from select vineyards, including Heintz and Gap's Crown, and aged for ten months in French oak (30% new). This has excellent texture and tension, with notes of lemon curd, fresh thyme, wet stone, and sliced green apple. It punches way above its price point!
VM91: The 2023 Chardonnay (Sonoma County) is fabulous, and a fabulous value as well. Rich, creamy and layered, the 2023 is a hugely overachieving wine. Tangerine peel, white flowers, spice and a kiss of French oak fill out the layers nicely. Readers will have a very hard time finding a better value.
