The story of Domaine Drouhin-Laroze began when Jean-Baptiste Laroze started a vineyard operation in Gevrey Chambertin. Over the years, the estate expanded under the guidance of successive generations, who continued to develop the vineyard with a focus on hillside vineyards. In 1919, Suzanne, the granddaughter of Jean-Baptiste, married Alexandre Drouhin, and the estate was henceforth called Drouhin-Laroze.
Today, the estate is run by Philippe and Christine Drouhin, with their children Caroline and Nicolas representing the sixth generation. With 12 hectares of vines, the Domaine boasts an impressive array of appellations, including 3 Villages, 4 Premier Crus, and 6 Grand Crus. The Drouhin-Laroze family's dedication to quality and tradition has earned them a reputation as one of the most prestigious wine producers in the region. The grapes are hand-harvested and vinified with meticulous care to preserve the unique characteristics of each terroir. The result is a stunning collection of wines that showcase the rich history and passion of the Drouhin-Laroze family.
