One of our favorite traditional producers in Barolo, the Aurelio Settimo estate was founded in 1953 and remains family-run today. It boasts around 7 hectares of vines, mostly planted with Nebbiolo, including the celebrated Rocche dell'Annunziata cru. The estate’s Dolcetto comes from a tiny 1-hectare plot grown in Barolo soils. The wine ages for at least 24 months in concrete tanks. This is Dolcetto at its freshest and juiciest – packed with maraschino cherry, strawberry, red currant, and wild red berries.
"Juicy and approachable, this red shows vibrant dark berry aromas alongside spices and a touch of dark chocolate. Medium-bodied with lively acidity and smooth tannins, it's easygoing and fruit-forward." (James Suckling, 90 Points)
