Castello di Ama is one of our favorite estates in Tuscany, just 12 miles northeast of Siena in the hills of Gaiole. The site is spectacular, set on a rounded hilltop 1600 feet above sea level. This Chianti Classico is Sangiovese from four of the estate’s vineyards. This is fresh and delicate, with fresh red fruit, sour cherry, a hint of spice, and floral notes on the nose.
